Description

Travel to the west part of Rio de Janeiro, an area that remains untouched, yet is abundant with nature. Following the coastline, you'll pass by Reserva Beach and Lagoa de Marapendi, before stopping at Roncador viewpoint, that offers a great view to the Sleeping Giant. In this park, see a project where biologists treat animals to put them back to nature. Then we'll head to Prainha, a charming small beach considered the best surf spot in Rio where you'll hike for about 1.5 hours (roundtrip) and reach Caeté summit. From this summit, you will see an amazing view of the coast and the other mountains of Rio and, with a bit of imagination, the legendary 'sleeping giant'. From Prainha, drive for 5 more minutes to Grumari, your last stop where you'll stay and enjoy the beach for about 3 hours. The area is also protected and you'll be able to enjoy an amazing and paradisiac tropical beach, white sands, green mountains and clear blue waters. Hike: EASY (2,8km=1.8mi) / 1,5h / elev. gain 190m (624ft) Fitness is required to hike on rough terrain, up and downhill
