The Morro Dois Irmãos trail is a great option for the whole family, very popular with tourists, located in the Vidigal favela, the most famous community in the south of Rio de Janeiro.

Description

Morro Dois Irmãos is a trail of easy difficulty and an accessible experience for all ages and physical endurance. The trail climbs steeply, but there are plenty of viewpoints along the way to catch your breath and enjoy the incredible scenery. The experience begins with a typical local, who takes you up to the start of the trail using the transportation available within the community (motorcycle cab or van), which costs R$5.00 per person. After experiencing the adventure on public transport, we started the trail near the Vidigal Olympic Village, where children and young people play sports in the community. And in order for the development of sports to continue, the residents ask for a contribution of R$10.00 per person or 1kg of non-perishable food for entry to the trail. The Morro Dois Irmãos trail will be 1.5km uphill, with some steeper stretches. Along the way, we will make several stops at incredible viewpoints, which offer views of the beaches of São Conrado, famous mountains such as Pedra da Gávea and Pedra Bonita, and Rocinha, one of the largest favelas in Latin America. The climb up the Morro Dois Irmãos trail takes approximately 1 hour to reach an altitude of 533 meters. When you reach the top of the mountain, you'll have the most famous view of the southern part of the city of Rio de Janeiro. From there you can see Christ the Redeemer, the neighborhoods of Leblon, Ipanema, Gávea, Jardim Botânico, and the heart of the city, Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas. Our guides will give you all the support you need for the best photo and video angles, so that you can have this experience recorded and shared. After descending the Morro Dois Irmãos trail, we'll take a Favela Tour inside the Vidigal community, getting to know the daily lives of the local residents and points of interest inside the favela. At the end of the adventure, we'll go for a swim and enjoy Vidigal Beach.
