Description
Start your day with a pick-up from your accommodation between 7:00 and 9:00 AM, depending on the season (the exact time will be confirmed at the time of booking). Pick-up is available from several areas in Rio, including Barra da Tijuca (for an additional fee of R$30), Ipanema, Copacabana, Botafogo, and Centro.
The tour begins with a drive to Playa Secreta in Barra da Tijuca, a hidden gem where you can enjoy the tranquility and beauty of this little-known tourist spot. After enjoying the views and the beach atmosphere, we will head to Guaratiba Hill, where we will begin our trek to the famous Pedra do Telégrafo, one of the city’s most iconic hiking routes.
The hike is of medium difficulty and suitable for people with a decent level of fitness. During the ascent, you will be able to enjoy the lush vegetation of the Tijuca Forest and breathtaking panoramic views of the sea, the city, and the surrounding mountains. As you approach the summit, you will feel the reward for your efforts: an incredible panoramic view of Rio’s coastline and the famous sight of the Pedra do Telégrafo, where you can capture unique photos featuring the iconic “cliff effect,” one of Rio’s most photographed postcard images.
