Description
Rio de Janeiro's bohemian heart awaits you. As you tour the Santa Teresa neighborhood, you will discover beautiful mansions, charming yellow trams, and various street art murals. The journey takes approximately 15 minutes. We will begin by walking along cobblestone streets while discussing the region's history. Along the way, we will enjoy prime views of the famous Christ the Redeemer statue. Amidst colonial homes and grand mansions, and watching the traditional yellow Santa Teresa trams pass by, we will arrive at Parque das Ruínas.
There, we can enter the home of Laurinda Santos Lobo, a mansion that stood abandoned for over 50 years but once embodied the splendor of the Brazilian Belle Époque. This revitalized space offers a spectacular panoramic view of Rio de Janeiro and provides a glimpse into life during the Brazilian Empire.
We can replace the included tram ride with taxis; travelers are guaranteed a full refund if they do not accept this option.
