Description

This is not just a sightseeing tour. It's an opportunity to understand, connect, and transform your view of Rio de Janeiro.

Our approach is clear: to show you the favela beyond stereotypes, so that you experience things you never imagined.

We have options for all tastes: the standard sightseeing tour, a sightseeing tour with a drone video (which you'll pay for in the favela), a tour focused on making a drone video from the blue chair, an evening tour to visit bars and experience the favela's nightlife, a viral tour, a Funk Party to enjoy Rio like a true local... EACH OPTION HAS A DESCRIPTION. Please read it.

Explore Brazil's largest favela with local guides for an authentic, safe, and fun experience. Learn about its history, culture, and the daily life of a community full of vitality, talent, and resilience.

What's more, this sightseeing tour has a positive impact: part of your booking fee is reinvested directly into the community, supporting local guides and small initiatives. By taking part, you won't just be visiting Rocinha… you'll also be contributing to it.

The meeting point is: São Conrado subway station exit A (use Uber; it works well).

We'll go up into the favela by motorcycle. There's nothing to be afraid of. It's super exciting.

VERY IMPORTANT

Read each option carefully. The drone video is ALWAYS paid for in the favela. We only take care of booking the sightseeing tour.

We have several famous ROOFTOPS for the drone video, and ALL of them offer a great view. There is a rooftop with a yellow background and a BLUE CHAIR (VIRAL) where you have to wait a long time to shoot the video. There are queues of 2 and 3 hours. We recommend shooting the video from any of our other wonderful spots, as the sightseeing tour is for a group and must continue. We can't wait that long with the whole group.

So... WE DON'T GO to the viral rooftop with the blue chair. During the sightseeing tour, we go to other viral rooftops that are even more beautiful. And yes, there is a special option to go just to shoot the viral video where the BLUE CHAIR is. As always, the video is paid for in the favela, and it's more expensive. You can write to me beforehand.

The drone video is paid for per person in the video, not per video. If there are 5 people in the video, they all pay for the drone.

Depending on the time of day, our schedule may vary slightly.

You can arrive after the activity has started, but only if it's unavoidable. You'll enjoy it just the same. We might charge a small extra fee for the transportation of the tour guide who would come and pick you up.

If you have any questions, please ask us, and always remember that your well-being, safety, and happiness are our priority. Please wear comfortable shoes and casual clothes.

Ready to enjoy one of the best experiences of your trip in the real world? If you like places full of locals, this is a sightseeing tour you'll love.

Includes

• Local guide from the community.
• Viral drone video (depending on the option chosen, and you ALWAYS pay for the drone in the favela). We don't usually shoot the video on the VIRAL ROOFTOP with the blue chair, as the lines are very long. But if you only want the video from that spot, it's more expensive, and we can take you there.
• Capoeira demonstration.
• We go up the favela on a motorbike.
• Photo with a motorcycle and an incredible view.
• Viewing of murals.
• Views.
• Funk party (in the evening, if option chosen)
• Guided tour of Rocinha.
• Historical and cultural introduction.
• Direct contribution to the local economy.
• Souvenirs and surprises as you walk from place to place (night tours).
• Photos taken by our team.
• The drone video is paid for per person in the video, not per video. If there are 5 people in the video, they all pay for the drone.
• Free lessons given by each new person we meet and by the team itself, the true Cariocas, who will teach us their customs.
• Fun, because we'll leave shyness behind at the hotel.

Excludes

• Extra drinks.
• Meals.
• Drone video is not included in the price of the 'standard sightseeing tour' or the 'sightseeing tour and drone video.' If you want the video, you must choose that option: Sightseeing tour and drone video. The drone is paid for in the favela on the day of the activity.
• We don't usually go to the viral rooftop with the blue chair. We go to other viral rooftops that are even more beautiful. There is a special option to go just to shoot the viral video where the blue chair is, and as always, the video is paid for in the favela. You can message me beforehand.
• The drone video is paid for per person in the video, not per video. If there are 5 people in the video, they all pay for the drone.
• The option to shoot drone footage with the viral BLUE CHAIR is focused on making a video. You pay an additional amount on the day of the activity. In the favela, you will pay for the drone video, which is twice the amount you see here. We walk down from the favela to take photos... We always message you beforehand to clear up any questions.
• Round-trip transportation.
