Who says you should wait until Carnival to see the Samba Schools? Samba Schools begin their preparation for the big Carnival parade several months earlier. The first samba school rehearsals start in August (this depends on each samba school). Every Saturday night we visit the prestigious Salgueiro Samba School (one of the best in Rio de Janeiro) and it will be a pleasure to take you to this unforgettable experience. Depending on your hotel, we will pick you up between 8 and 9 pm. On arrival at the Samba School Rehearsal, a comfortable table will have been reserved for you. This magical evening will begin with an entertaining Brazilian Popular Music Band. Beautiful dancers, (baianas), talented musicians and the flag-bearing couple will introduce you to the fascinating world of Samba and Rio Carnival. The highlight of the evening will be at about 00:00 am with the presentation of the 'Bateria' (rhythm section), the heart of the samba school. Sixty percussion instruments played simultaneously in perfect harmony create a wonderful rhythm of unequaled strength and joy. This rhythm is a treasure, a true cultural heritage of inestimable value. At 1:00 am we will take you and your group back to your accommodation. Without a doubt, you will remember this night forever!! The Samba School Rehearsal it’s not just a show, it’s a cultural experience that you can´t miss in your visit to Rio de Janeiro.
