Discover Rio in a day on this 16-hour tour. Sugarloaf, Christ Redeemer and a fabulous samba show at Ginga Tropical: who could ask for anything more? In the morning you’ll be taken on a panoramic tour of downtown Rio, passing by the Sambodrome and stopping at the Metropolitan Cathedral. You’ll become acquainted with Cinelândia Square with its historic buildings, including the Municipal Theater, the National Library, and the National Museum of Fine Arts. Via the Aterro do Flamengo, you’ll visit the neighborhood of Urca, the location of the iconic Sugarloaf Mountain. You’ll travel all the way up the mountain by cable car, in 2 stages. The first cable car takes you to Urca Hill, a vantage point 215 meters above sea level, offering sweeping views of Guanabara Bay and its islands, the Rio-Niterói Bridge, and Corcovado Mountain. From this point, a second cable car takes you to the top. From 395 meters up you’ll enjoy spectacular views of Copacabana Beach, Santa Cruz Fortress, and the beaches of Niterói. Back down behold Rio’s scenery on your way to have a traditional Barbecue Lunch, All you can eat style. Brazilian Churrascarias (Barbecue places) offer a wide variety of sides and alternative options, in case you decide to stick with a vegetarian option, you will still leave delighted. After lunch we make our way to Maracanã Stadium where we will take a lap around the stadium and have a short stop so you can appreciate the splendor of the two-time World Cup Finals host. There you will be able to imagine the amount of history that took place since its opening in 1950 when Brazil hosted its first World Cup. Head over to the base of Corcovado Mountain via the Cosme Velho train. Ride through the lush Tijuca rainforest to the towering Christ Redeemer statue. Standing guard over the city of Rio, the statue has a fascinating history, and your knowledgeable local guide will share all the secrets with you. Music and fun are key ingredients of Rio’s exciting and electric nightlife! This atmosphere is brought to life at Ginga Tropical's nightly Carnaval Parade.
