Description
Discover the Wonders of Tijuca National Park – Peaks, Caves & Waterfalls Adventure
Explore the lush heart of Rio de Janeiro with a guided tour through Tijuca National Park, the largest urban forest in the world. With round-trip hotel transfers included, this full-day eco-adventure combines stunning viewpoints, immersive hikes, and refreshing waterfalls—all in one unforgettable experience.
Your journey begins with a scenic hike to Pedra Bonita, one of Rio’s most breathtaking peaks. From the summit, enjoy panoramic views of the city, coastline, and iconic landmarks like Pedra da Gávea and Christ the Redeemer. It’s the perfect way to start your day above the forest canopy.
From there, we head to another sector of the park to visit the Taunay Waterfall, the tallest in Tijuca Forest. This majestic cascade offers a great photo opportunity and a chance to feel the refreshing mist of pure mountain water.
Next, we venture deeper into the forest on a peaceful trail that leads to the Bat Cave, the largest and most beautiful cave in the park. After exploring its dramatic interior, we’ll stop at the Baronesa Waterfall—an ideal spot for a revitalizing natural shower after the hikes.
The adventure continues with a scenic drive through another area of the park, where we’ll make a final stop at the famous Vista Chinesa (Chinese View). From this elegant belvedere, you'll take in sweeping views of Guanabara Bay, Christ the Redeemer, and the beaches of Rio. Please note: Vista Chinesa is closed on weekends and will be replaced by another beautiful viewpoint.
Throughout the tour, keep an eye out for wildlife such as toucans, sloths, and capuchin monkeys, and learn from your guide about the region’s rich biodiversity and ongoing conservation efforts.
After a day immersed in nature, we’ll return you to your hotel, leaving you with unforgettable memories of Rio’s wild side.
