Start your full-day excursion with a 165 km trip from Rio de Janeiro to Angra dos Reis, in the Costa Verde region. Head to the port to board the schooner towards Ilha Grande, one of the best beach destinations in the state. Settle into your seat and enjoy the paradisiacal views. Make your first stop at the Botinas Islands, Angra's postcard. Its calm waters of different shades of blue are the perfect invitation for a swim. Continue on to Ilha Grande and discover the Blue Lagoon, the jewel of Rio de Janeiro's southern coast. Check out the collection of starfish at the bottom of the ocean, as well as colorful fish and coral in this natural pool, perfect for snorkeling and floating with 'noodle' buoys. Also enjoy the tranquil Araçá Beach. Located next to Lagoa Azul, the small beach surrounded by large rocks and preserved native forest is a great option for relaxing and enjoying the view.
