Climbing Sugarloaf Mountain The Sugarloaf Mountain Via Ferrata begins at the base of Morro da Urca, where participants receive the necessary equipment (harness, helmet, ropes) and are guided by specialized guides. Along the route, there are iron steps, vertical passages, and exposed sections, which physically challenge climbers. At every step, you can enjoy panoramic views of Rio, including Sugarloaf Mountain, Christ the Redeemer, and Guanabara Bay. The climb takes 2 to 3 hours, depending on the pace of the group. After reaching the top, participants can descend back to Morro da Urca via the famous Sugarloaf Mountain cable car, providing a relaxing and scenic return trip.
