Description
Discover the beauty of the Bico do Papagaio, rising 989m high and located in Tijuca National park Sector A (Floresta da Tijuca). Also known as the Tooth of Spirits or Stone Tooth due to its pointed shape, it is the second largest mountain in the park.
The superstitious Tupinamba people avoided the stone because they believed that there emanated bad fluids. Explore the Bico do Papagaio's several hiking trails through the Tijuca Forest, visit the visitor center and museum then bathe in Cachoeira das Almas.
