Description
Discover the biggest aquarium in Latin America on this 4-hour city tour. Start with a pickup in the morning from hotels located in the South Zone and make your first stop at the AquaRio. Located in the Zona Portuária (Port Zone), the aquarium occupies a former cold-storage warehouse in an area that spans four floors and a basement. It is home to 8,000 animals of 350 different species, including sharks, stingrays and all sorts of fish.
Take pictures (no flash, please) in areas such as the Recinto Oceânico e de Mergulho (Oceanic and Diving Enclosure), the largest tank in the aquarium holding up to 3.3 million liters of water and seven meters in depth. Learn about marine life and the ecosystem. Close to the end of the tour, pass underneath a tunnel that gives the sensation of being inside the ocean.
This is a memorable experience for the entire family!
After the tour inside the museum, take this opportunity to see the urban street art in the Olympic Boulevard. See the biggest graffiti of the world: the Mural das Etnias from Brazilian artist Kobra.
In high season, tours can take longer due to traffic and the large volume of people in the city.
